EEG-Monitor.

The EEG-Monitor is designed to work with the ETHERNET-102 (V2) Interface and BRAINBOX® EEG-Amplifiers of BRAINTRONICS. It can also be use with one of the BRAINTRONICS Virtual Amplifiers. This Virtual Amplifier is a software program that runs on a PC with Windows as OS. The program simulates a BRAINBOX® EEG-Amplifier and an ETHERNET-102 (V2) Interface together.

The EEG-Monitor is a program that shows the sampled data from the BRAINBOX® EEG-amplifiers in a graphic presentation on the PC-screen. With the program all the devices that are connect to the ETHERNET-102 (V2) Interface can be displayed.

Basic functions of the TCP/IP EEG-Monitor.

The basic function of the TCP/IP EEG-Monitor software is to display the sampled data of the BRAINBOX® EEG amplifier. Another function of the TCP/IP EEG-Monitor is to control the ETHERNET-102 (V2) Interface. With the TCP/IP EEG-Monitor program it is possible to set the BRAINBOX® ETHERNET SYSTEM (ETHERNET-102 (V2) Interface + BRAINBOX® EEG amplifier) in a number of modes to operate.

These modes are:

This download version of the EEG-Monitor supports only a fix configuration ofBRAINBOX® devices. In a practical system, it is possible to make a configuration with a mix of BRAINBOX® devices and download this configuration in the ETHERNET-102 (V2) Interface. The Interface will check if the configuration is valid.

Scope function.

The scope function is a separate function within the EEG-Monitor. The scope displays one channel in more detail, X and Y sensitivity can be selected and several measurements can be made.

The scope function can be activating by a right mouseclick on the cannel number.

A more detailed description can be found on de Technical Reference page.

The Quick Reference Card will give a overview of the most important functions of the EEG-Monitor program.

Download the software.

For installation of the software a Install Shield Wizard is used. For the EEG-1166 four type of configurations are available. The first two are for a 64 channel system the second two are for a 128 and a 256 channel system. For this four configirations the same Virtual Amplifier (VA-1166) can be used.

The tools below are only tested for WINDOWS XP, but in most of the cases it also works under WINDOWS-7. If you have problems with running this software tools under WINDOWS-7 please let us known, so we can try to solve the problem. (Contact Form)

There is a special version of the EEG Monitor with EDF-recording functionality.

European Data Format (EDF) is a standard file format designed for exchange and storage of medical time series. EDF stores multichannel data allowing different sample rates for each signal. Internally it includes a header and one or more data records. The header contains information on the whole recording (patient identification, start time...) and on each included signal (filtering, sampling rate...) coded as ASCII characters.
