EDF-registration with the EDF-Monitor.

After the complete EDF setting is done it is very easy to start-up an EDF-registration with the EEG-Monitor software. Below the different situations are shown for recording data.

EDF record stop
After al the settings are done for the EDF or EDF+ registration. (see description EDF Software functions) the EEG Monitor is in this state. The EDF-rec indication is shown with a green background. The recording stop key is down.
 
EDF start recording
Pressing the 'Recording start' key will really start the EDF-registration. The background color of EDF-rec will blink between light and dark green during the whole recording period.
 
EDF Pause

Pressing the Recording Pause key will stops storing the data in the EDF-recording file. The background of the text EDF-rec is blinking between yellow and light green. This function only works when the EDF+ format is chosen. By the EDF format this button is gray.

Restart recording by pressing the Pause key again.

 
EDF record mode closed
Pressing the Recording Stop key will stops the recording of the EDF-data. The EDF-record file will be closed.
 
No record mode active

If no EDF-recording is selected only the text Record is visible and a simple internal recording format is used.

This situation is also pressent after selecting the main menu item 'disable EDF-recording'.

Showing the EDF-configuration.

There is also a possibility to see witch EDF configuration is loaded in the EEG-Monitor.
Menu show EDF header data After creating a valid Patient recording file and start-up the recording, it is possible to review the configuration by selecting the main menu option 'Show EDF header data'

In the upper half of the next dialog the patient header information is shown of the current loaded configuration. During recording the field 'Number of data records' has the value -1. After stopping the recording this field will be update to the real value. The lower part of the dialog shows the signal descriptions that are loaded in the configuration.

EDF-Header viewer channel 1

In the lower half apart of the dialog the signal description is found. The different signals can be selected with the 'Next Signal' and 'Prev Signal' key.
